National Lottery ‘Desperate’ to Find Scottish Lottery Ticket Winner of £57M

The National Lottery has been urging the winner of the £57m EuroMillions draw to come forward since March but all attempts (so far) have fallen on deaf ears. Very little was known about the location of the ticket until a press release revealed the winning ticket was purchased in South Ayrshire in bonny Scotland.

If you’re one of our readers from Scotland, you may want to go check your tickets, especially if you’ve any left unchecked since March. Those lucky numbers were drawn on March 17th and were 05, 07, 08, 16, 20 and the lucky stars were 02 and 12. We hope the lucky ticket holder sitting on a EuroMillions fortune of £57,869,670 comes forward soon.

What would you do with all that? That’s a crazy sum of money to win and Camelot knows just how difficult it can be to come forward, which is why a dedicated security team has been setup in the area to not only encourage residents to check their tickets, but to enable the winner to remain anonymous is they wish.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery said, "We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with this massive prize which could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life. We’re urging everyone who might have bought a EuroMillions ticket in this area to check their old tickets or look for any missing tickets at home.

In the current situation, rather than taking a trip to the shop to check your tickets, we’re encouraging everyone to check their numbers online via The National Lottery website or via The National Lottery App. While we are all trying to do the right thing by staying indoors at the moment, it’s a good opportunity to dig out and check those old lottery tickets.”

Recent Winners

A syndicate of 46 from Sutton-in-Ashfield is celebrating after bagging £159,609,40 on the EuroMillions. This meant all 46 members received a share totalling £3,469,76 after matching 5 main numbers and one lucky star to win. I’m not sure whether I would be happy or a sad with that knowing you’ve won but then only receive a bonus of roughly £3.5K.

Syndicate leader Craig, 40, said, “I was out with a group of both past and present work colleagues having a curry when my phone rang. It was Derrick and Denise Marshall, Denise is a fellow syndicate member, they wanted to know if I had checked the EuroMillions draw that night.”

Denise did what anyone else would – tuned in to watch the live draw and when the numbers came up, she was well and truly shocked! Denise said, “I started to panic, thinking is this really true? I asked Derrick to call Craig to double check. Obviously, he was in the curry house and so between him, his wife, the others having a meal and us we checked, and double checked every place we could, wondering how much money we had won.”

A hardworking Londoner recently celebrating winning £10K a month for a year after…

…matching five main numbers on her lucky dip ‘Set for Life’ ticket. Mo Reideman, 54, found out about her win via an email from the National Lottery. Speaking of her win, she said: “The win will be used to pay off the mortgage over the next 12 months and to refurbish the bathroom. A new bathroom may not sound very exciting, but I see it as my ‘silly money’ spend. It needs doing and now every time I’m standing in the shower or soaking in the bath, I will be able to remember the win.”
