Forget Halloween thrills, NetEnt has reached the peak of madness by going ‘one step beyond’ with a terrifying new slot release and it’s nothing like you’d expect for this time of the year! Dark King: Forbidden Riches takes players on a journey into a long-lost city, deep beneath the earth’s surface and like most abandoned tombs, this one has its treasure and its curses!
A knight in not so-shining armour is waiting to devour your soul and according to reports, this once powerful ruler has risen from the depth of despair once again to unleash hell on earth! But before he goes on a rampage, he will start with those who dare enter his residence – you! And he has an army of undead soldiers fronted by the one and only Grimm Reaper, who will stop at nothing to protect their haul of gold. If you can outsmart your enemy and keep a cool head, you could walk away with as much as £10K on each of the 20 fixed win lines!
Crowning Glory
An eerie soundtrack and vivid visuals draw you in with every spin. It’s almost biblical in a sense, which is quite surreal. According to Christian tradition, Satan himself was once an angel who rebelled against God and has been banished to the underground ever since! Unfortunately, there are no heavenly beings here to save you – it’s time to pull up your socks and start paying attention or you may find your soul trapped within a hot, fiery hell, unable to rest nor escape!
Now the scary bits are out of the way…
…let’s take a look at the features, pays and most of all - how to win. The Dark King: Forbidden Riches title sees players relying on the wild to not only create winning combinations where they may have been missed, by substituting for all standard base game symbols, but when 1 or more orb wild symbols appear anywhere on the reels, all wins are multiplied by a multiplier equal to the number of wild symbols on the reels! Five wilds = a multiplier of 5x!
Three or more gold encrusted rubies will launch the free games bonus, where as many as 15 bonus spins will be granted. During this feature, sticky wild hotspots are activated; a fixed area of 5 spots in the shape of a cross on reels 2, 3 and 4. Land a wild symbol anywhere on that cross and watch as it transforms into a sticky wild. Each time this occurs, an additional spin is awarded and best of all, sticky wilds remain in place for the duration of the feature. Again, multipliers are triggered on the presence of wilds.
Where can you play NetEnt’s Dark King: Forbidden Riches? At Coral where new players are welcomed with a £30 bingo bonus on a £10 spend. Will you manage to escape the devil’s lair unscathed? Please do let us know!

Just had a peek. It’s not the darkest I’ve seen – A Nightmare on Elm Street is probably the worst in terms of terrifying, Paranormal Activity is the spookiest, but Dark King is dark, and the features are quite good. I don’t play slots for its theme; I play for its features and this has features I love!
