Play’n GO has added a new entry to its Rich Wilde portfolio with the release of Tome of Madness Bingo, bringing the familiar universe of the Cult of Cthulhu into a Video Bingo format. The title reworks the franchise’s established themes into a numbered-card experience built around fast rounds, pattern-based mechanics, and layered bonus features.
In Tome of Madness Bingo, players mark off numbers across as many as four cards as balls are drawn. Gameplay centres on completing specific patterns rather than traditional slot-style spins, with the pace designed to keep rounds moving quickly. When a winning pattern comes close to completion, Extra Balls can become available, offering additional chances to finish combinations. Up to thirteen Extra Balls may be taken, with eligibility assessed after each selection. In rare cases, a thirteenth Extra Ball can appear when the highest prize is within reach.
The game’s narrative follows Rich Wilde as he confronts the mysteries surrounding the Cult of Cthulhu. Symbols embedded in stone-like designs guide players through the experience, reinforcing the arcane tone that has become associated with the Tome of Madness series. While the setting leans heavily on occult imagery, the underlying structure remains rooted in classic Video Bingo mechanics.
Pattern-driven bonuses shape gameplay
Two main bonus features anchor the experience and are activated through specific card patterns. Completing the Perimeter pattern unlocks the Secrets of the Tome bonus. During this feature, players make selections from a set of sealed picks. Some selections add prize values to a bonus counter, while others award additional picks, allowing the feature to continue. Players begin with five picks, with the possibility of increasing the total to eight.
The Mystery Tome bonus is triggered by completing the Rails pattern. Unlike the pick-based feature, this bonus delivers an instant prize, resolving immediately once activated.
A further mechanic, the Treasure of Cthulhu, is reserved for specific conditions. If a player achieves a Bingo within the first thirty balls while all four cards are active, the Treasure of Cthulhu is unlocked. This feature awards a fixed payout that plays a defining role in the overall prize structure.
Familiar universe, adapted format
Fans of the Rich Wilde character and the Tome of Madness setting will recognise many of the visual and thematic elements, reworked here to suit a numbered-card layout. The interface displays four occult-styled Bingo cards arranged for clarity and readability, maintaining accessibility while preserving the darker tone of the series.
According to Play’n GO, the title reflects its broader design philosophy of combining recognisable narratives with straightforward gameplay structures. The Bingo format offers an entry point for new players, while long-time followers of the Rich Wilde storyline encounter references and stylistic details tied to earlier releases.
Magnus Wallentin, Games Ambassador at Play’n GO, commented on the release, saying:
“Tome of Madness Bingo distils what players love about Rich Wilde – mystery, momentum and memorable reveals – into a crisp numbered-card format. From swift Mystery Tome payouts to pick-and-build moments in Secrets of the Tome, it’s designed to keep decisions meaningful and sessions engaging.”
Tome of Madness Bingo joins Play’n GO’s catalogue as a standalone Video Bingo title, translating an established mythos into a format focused on rapid play, defined patterns, and concise bonus sequences.
