Quickspin Teases of Fang-Tastic Action in Upcoming Slot Title

Taking inspiration from Chinese Folklore, Quickspin has devised a remarkable slot machine which is designed to be delightful and frightful at the same time! Vampire Senpai is a colourful world filled with prosperous vampires, but unlike their European cousins, these vampires are (usually!) cute and packed with cash.

Quickspin don’t want to scare players away by creating something you’d expect from the likes of the Walking Dead (dripping flash and the like!), so they have designed their “Jiangshi” (hopping vampires) to be charming by day and a little bit different at night.

According to Chinese folklore, the Jiangshi are known as the hopping vampire (a type of reanimated corpse if you like), and this is why you will find a trio of them with the ability to hop around the reels in the upcoming Vampire Senpai slot machine. Unlike the many other titles by Quickspin, this one differentiates by delivering a 5x5 layout in place of the usual 3x5. And this means more ways to win and more features to benefit from.

Lucas Johansson, FX Artist working on the casino game had this to say on: “The stories behind the Jiangshi has been our main source of inspiration and consequently, our team has shared and watched a lot of clips from movies featuring this vampire. Other than that, we have aimed for a classic Asian setting with a playful Quickspin vibe.

I’m an FX Artist, hence making all the effects and animations for this game. It was a lot of fun to learn about the Jiangshi, which prior to this project had never heard about. Although this vampire normally is depicted in Chinese culture as a scary creature featured in horror stories, we’ve taken a different turn making it a more entertaining game!”

And entertaining it is! Any vampire wild landing on the reels will ‘infect’ surrounding medium value symbols and turn them wild. On any spin, between 3 and 9 Talisman wilds can appear. There are bonus spins with hopping wilds which subsequently become locking wilds and much more!
