A brand-new slot machine mechanic has been unveiled by Big Time Gaming (BTG) and I for one am literally mind blown! In 2016, the Megaways mechanic was invented and was proof that slot machines would never be the same again.
Bonanza was the first on the scene with its 6-reel engine packed with up to 117,649 ways to win per spin, and it proved to be more than just popular. From there, rival software companies jumped in on the action; from Blueprint Gaming to Red Tiger Gaming, each acquiring the use of the Megaways reel engine to deliver even more thrills and excitement, but never did we imagine slot machines to go one better.
Star Clusters Megaclusters is the latest showstopper from Big Time Gaming and it’s as dazzling as it sounds! And now it’s here, large as life and waiting to shine! On first impressions, it’s a grid-based slot with symbols of various gemstones, but on close symbols are not what they seem! Instead of winning symbols vanishing from view, they explode to reveal four smaller symbols – not only is this absolutely amazing, but it offers more ways to win!
A cascading reel engine also comes into play (similar to that of the Bonanza title!), but only once you have triggered a win. When those smaller symbols produce a win, those corresponding symbols will vanish, and more will appear. There are so many different ways to win!

The gold wild is something else altogether. To the top of the machine is a multiplier (starts at 1x) and this is the value that will be applied to all winnings. When on or more gold stars appear and substitute in a win, the multiplier value increases with by 1x. If that wasn’t thrilling enough, the bonus spins will leave you on the edge of your seat!
Five or more ‘reactions’ during the base game will activate the free games feature and any gold wild multiplier will be carried into the bonus for more excitement! Unlike the base game, the bonus spins offer more winning possibilities with its larger 8x8 grid. Every tie the golden wild multiplier reaches a multiple of 10x, and additional 2 spins are awarded. Wins consist of 5 or more matching symbols of any size, horizontally or vertically adjacent.
