Calling all Norse Mythology fans, Odin is back with his powers of wisdom, poetry, death, divination and magic in Ring of Odin; the latest video slot to roll off the Play’n GO production belt. Our adventure begins in Asgard, but before we can step foot in the sacred land, we must pass through the Bifrost and Heimdall, the ever-vigilant God is not just going to let anyone in.
I’m a huge fan of the Thor Marvell movies and could probably name each character and their special abilities, so when I head about this new video slot, you can imagine just how keen I was to get my hands on it. Odin, the father of Thor, husband to Freyja and stand-in dad to Loki, needs your help to save the nine realms.
Legend has it that the fabled ring (Draupnir) which sits snuggly on the mighty Gods’ finger…
…was a ring forged by elves with powers all of its own. The Draupnir multiplies itself into nine rings every ninth night and this will become evident as you spin those reels.
Ring of Odin joins Viking Runecraft and the mighty Troll Hunters in the ever-expanding portfolio at the brand and to be fair, the team has really excelled in myth-based adventure games. CEO, Johan Törnqvist, said on its release: “Mythology is a very popular subject and a rich source of inspiration, with plenty of stories to be told.
At Play'n GO we are, first and foremost, entertainers. We pay particular attention to creating a rich narrative in these games, something players appreciate and enjoy immensely”.
Seek Mighty Riches from a Mighty God
As moody skies gather overhead, an unknown entity is waiting to pounce. Odin will protect you, providing you’re willing to engage in battle. Garm; the massive wolf dog associated with both Hell and Ragnarok is waiting to greet you. Known for being the blood-stained guardian of Hell’s gate, Garm could tear you limb from limb, but he’d rather throw cash into your bankroll! Five reels and 10 fixed win line can produce staggering results, courtesy of scatters, multipliers, bonus spins and re-spins.
Other symbols include Pegasus, four gemstones, crows, swords, Odin’s missing eye (yuck!) and the main man himself. Any spin could see the Odin Ring feature activate and this in turn could trigger up to 9 Draupnir re-spins where all nine rings duplicate the selected symbol, for potential big wins.
A scatter appearing dung the feature will award multiplier bonus spins. A trio of eyes (scatter) will award 4 bonus spins where more ring duplicating action could take place. Where can you play this latest casino game? Over at Mr Green Bingo.

Love the Thor Ragnarok movie; it was both funny and thrilling at the same time. This new release sounds great, but it is lacking in the features.
