Pulse – Tombola
In July 2014, Tombola introduced players to a new and exciting way to play online bingo, Pulse. The variation is created in-house and available exclusively at Tombola. Styled on a typical speed bingo game with slower gameplay, this 30-ball bingo variant is available 24/7. As an equal chance bingo game, every player has the same chance to win the full house prize. There are multiple jackpots of up to £20K on offer with tickets ranging from 10p to £2. Let’s review how to play Pulse!
How Do You Play Pulse?
There are 11 different rooms to choose from with Pulse, each bearing a fast theme.

- Express
- Sprint
- Hasty

- Spritely
- Velocity

- Swift
Rooms from 6pm and 11pm
- Speedy
- Lightning
Rooms from 7pm and 11pm
- Race
Each room is restricted to approximately 90 players. The more players in the room the bigger the prizes but the less chance of you winning. Statistically speaking, the rooms with fewer players deliver more chances to win smaller prizes. You can improve your chances of winning by avoiding busy rooms and playing at off-peak times.
When a Pulse room is selected, the first step is to select a stake. To purchase into the next game players simply need to choose their preferred stake of 10p, 25p, 50p, £1 or £2. All participating players receive 1 ‘ticket’ for their desired stake.
Players have approximately 30-seconds to purchase tickets. When there are five seconds remaining on the clock, no more tickets will be sold. The full house prize will be determined by the number of players in the game and the stake selected and will be displayed to the top left of the screen.
Each game features twelve randomly selected numbers from 1 to 30. To win, all you need to do is mark all your numbers before anyone else. You can let the system remove them as they are called automatically or you can press each number manually. The background will go through multiple colour changes from cold (blue) to hot (red) the closer you get to winning, plus, if you have the volume turned up the pulsating soundtrack gets quicker adding to the excitement.
Pulse players can choose to view their numbers static or in motion. Click the room name to the lower left of the screen (express in the image) to get the numbers moving or to stop them again. Mobile bingo players note, having those numbers flying around your screen will use up your battery quicker.
Pulse Stakes and Jackpot Prize Tiers:
- A stake of 10p delivers jackpots of £100 and £1K.
- Stakes of 25p offers jackpots of £250 and £2,500.
- Playing a stake of 50p carries a jackpot win potential of £500 and £5K.
- £1 per play has jackpots of £1K and £10K.
- The max of £2 per play has jackpots of £2K and £20K in each game.
How Do You Win a Pulse Jackpot?
Each Pulse stake level has two jackpots. Calling a full house (12) numbers in 19 calls awards the smallest of the two jackpots. Achieving a full house within 16 calls awards the larger of the two jackpots. If more than one player wins the jackpot, the full house will be split equally but the jackpots will be awarded in full.
