Crowning Glory for Evolution as Monopoly Live Scoops Game of the Year Award at EGR Operator Awards

Evolution Gaming, the brains behind many award-winning live casino games have only gone and won another – this time coveted Game of the Year Award at the annual EGR Operator Awards. The leading provider of live casino solutions had stiff competition in the form of thirteen other shortlisted companies, but there could only be one winner

…and Monopoly Live, the special edition of the Dream Catcher multiplier wheel was deemed the worthy winner. The live casino game has captivated audiences since being unveiled at ICE 2019 in February, with innovative features and real-time gameplay – it’s property trading at its finest.

Pass Go and Collect an Award

Scientific Games provided Evolution with an exclusive sublicense for the casino game and it boasts augmented reality and 3D bonus rounds that take you onto the iconic board game where Mr Monopoly rolls the dice and moves around the board. Community Chest, Chance, go to jail, pass go, Mayfair and train stations such as Kings Cross all provide edge of your seat entertainment.

Evolution Gaming’s Chief Product Officer, Todd Haushalter, was at the lavish EGR Operator Awards ceremony in London and was more than happy to make a speech: “We are honoured to win this award for MONOPOLY Live and it has been a true pleasure to work with one of the world’s best-loved brands to create such a unique game.”

Haushalter continued: “Winning back-to-back EGR Game of the Year awards is something we never dreamed of. We make games we think players will love and that we want to play ourselves and that is always our focus. However, to be once again honoured by our peers in the industry with this award is so very special and something that motivates us all for 2020 and beyond. A huge thank you to everyone at Evolution that made this a reality.”

Over 800 professionals attended the B2C awards ceremony, team members from the likes of Bet365, MrQ and Betsson all dressed to impress, but it wasn’t the suits and dresses in the spotlight, it was the casino games and those behind them. There were many more winners crowned on the night with Tombola picking up three awards!
