Bubble Popping Bingo Game is No More
First it was Winter Spotlight and now Bubble Bingo, what will be the next bingo game to face the chop at Tombola HQ? Bubble Bingo went out with a bang on Thursday 17th with chat game specials dishing out bonus prizes as well as Amazon vouchers. For the regulars in the room it was very frustrating as the room was filled to capacity with little to no chance of bagging that last win, but one lucky player managed to go one better. Not only did “freybentos” win the full house but he managed to bag the very last Bubble Bingo jackpot an hour before their doors closed for good!
Why the change? Bubble Bingo just wasn’t attracting the crowds. At the best of times of the day it was hosting games to just 20 players or fewer. Bubble may be popular over on the Arcade but it’s instant win style format didn’t go down too well with the bingo dabbing community.
Winter Spotlight (or puzzle bingo) as I liked to call it, was super popular…
…so popular in fact even at off-peak times there were hundreds of players all trying to piece a win together. The clue to its demise was in its name – winter, and now we are almost in spring, many Tombola fans are keeping their fingers crossed we see a spring variant followed by summer and then autumn.
Out with the Old – In with the New
It’s not all bad news though. For a week or-so Tombola has been teasing us on what’s to come and it involves a mole, yes one of those furry little creatures that likes to make mounds in your garden. “A new game is growing” appears on the welcome page with no other info so at the moment everyone is trying to guess what it will involve. Will it be a whack-a-mole style game, a mole-race similar that of the hamster race already on offer or will it be something completely unique? I’ll go with the latter what with Tombola being the undisputed king of exclusive games; Rollercoaster Bingo and Hex to name but a few!
On the subject of exclusive games, Tombola have just launched a new game over on Arcade and when they say they think you’ll love it, they’re not fooling around! Jesters is a new cards game with a stake costing as little as 5p with jackpots of up to £500. To win, fill a column with cards. Once your stake has been set you will be dealt 12 cards which you then reveal by tapping the screen (on mobile) or by clicking each one with your mouse. Each card will then move into its position on the board. If you reveal a jester card you will be credited with an additional card.
The Jesters bonus round is activated when any row is filled to get a flush. Here you 5 bonus spins will play out on a 3x3 reel set with 5 symbols. Match 3 symbols on a win line to win a prize. Jester is wild and can substitute for all other symbols to help create a win line. At the time of my visit (Friday 18th), there were already 20 jackpot winners on this game and it was only 10:30am!

I’ve had a few jackpots at tombola. I love the range of games and how they’re different to other bingo sites. I can go long periods between wins though and that’s when I go play elsewhere.
