“Nothing Sweeter Than a Repeater"
According to Hip-Hop star Drake, “2022 is blessing me from the comfort of my home”, and if his Instagram videos are anything to go by, he’s not wrong! The Canadian has made an awful lot of money from music with a net worth of approximately $200 million and his popularity is growing. In the UK alone, Drake has amassed more than 5.1 billion plays across 125 entries on just the one music streaming website and his most streamed song on that website is One Dance with more than 282.6million plays to date!
His Instagram account is where he likes to post images and videos of himself, his friends, and his family, along with videos of his favourite pastime – gambling. The 35-year-old is no stranger to giving his 102million fans an insight into his daily (and nightly) antics, including celebratory videos of his big wins.
Predicting Big Wins
A couple of days ago he took to Instagram to encourage his fans to celebrate with him when he landed a mega win. The Canadian can be seen playing online roulette with massive bets and in one clip a win of $354K went uncelebrated – I’d have been running around the street with a win of that magnitude! Drake continued to play while recording his wins and predictions until his $200K bet came home!
“I guarantee you it’s repeat 8,” he chanted as the ball was released around the wheel. “I feel it. Repeat 8. I know it.” Next thing you know he leaps from his chair yelling “What did I say!” The camera zooms in to show the ball sitting comfortably in the number 8 pocket before panning back out. The question hot on everyone’s lips is – how much did the Hotline Bling singer actually win?
The answer is nobody knows! The person recording the footage was quick to pan out, but if $354K wasn’t big enough to even generate a smile, judging by his hysterical celebration, Drake must have won a substantial sum of money from that $200K bet!
Drake loves gambling, so much so in 2020 he paid a Hip-Hop diamond merchant, Jacob the Jeweler, $620K for a watch with a fully functional roulette wheel mechanism…

Not all hip-hop stars are as lucky as Drake when it comes to gambling. 2021 was good and bad for most, but for Young Thud it was terrible. The rapper decided to try his luck at the Vegas casinos but managed to leave $800K poorer! He took to socials to rant about how the casino had stolen from him and that he wasn’t impressed!

I wonder how much he lost before he won though. They don’t show you that side of his gambling do they.
